Rasmus Hojlund: PSG make £43m bid for Atalanta forward and Manchester United target

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has submitted a bid of £43m (€50m) for Rasmus Hojlund, the Atalanta forward who is also being pursued by Manchester United. PSG is unwilling to raise their offer as they prepare for the potential departure of Kylian Mbappe.

Regardless of Mbappe’s situation, PSG has granted funds to their new head coach, Luis Enrique, to sign promising young players. Meanwhile, Manchester United, led by Erik ten Hag, has made a similar offer of £43m (€50m) with £8.5m (€10m) in add-ons for Hojlund, who reportedly desires a move to Old Trafford.

United has a good relationship with Atalanta, having negotiated deals for players like Amad Diallo. They are optimistic about finalizing the deal for Hojlund and believe they won’t need to offload players to make the transfer. The club is relying on potential sales this summer and in January to meet their financial requirements.

Despite their interest in Rasmus Hojlund, PSG and their pursuit will not deter Manchester United from adhering to their budgetary limits, as demonstrated in their dealings with Mason Mount and Andre Onana. The club has identified other targets, including Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ajax’s versatile Mohammed Kudus, to ensure they strengthen their attacking options promptly and efficiently for the upcoming Premier League season.
