With already six tour-level event second-round appearances this season, Van Assche aims to progress further and reach the third round for the first time. He will face either the seventh seed, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, or Gstaad champion Pedro Cachin in the ATP 500 clay-court event.

With 521 points, Luca Van Assche currently holds the sixth rank in the Pepperstone ATP Live Next Gen Race, displaying his determination to secure a spot in the Next Gen ATP Finals at the end of the season. This achievement would mark a significant milestone in his promising tennis career.
