Lionel Messi Leaving PSG At The End Of The Season Confirmed

Lionel Messi will be leaving PSG at the end of the season, playing his last game against Clermont Foot on Saturday. PSG manager Christophe Galtier confirmed this news, mentioning Inter Miami as one of the potential destinations for the Argentine. Galtier praised Messi as the greatest player in football history and expressed gratitude for the privilege of coaching him.

Expressing his admiration, Galtier said,

“I had the privilege of coaching the greatest player in the history of football. This weekend will mark Messi’s final match at PSG, taking place at the Parc des Princes against Clermont.”

While there were rumours of a sensational return to Barcelona, financial constraints make such a move unlikely. Another possibility is Messi joining Inter Miami and being loaned back to Barcelona. Interest from Asian clubs has also been reported.

Messi’s father, Jorge, refuted recent reports about his son’s future club, stating that no decision will be made until the end of the season. Messi’s impressive campaign in France, with 16 goals and 16 assists in the league, has been overshadowed by some controversies.

Last month, he faced criticism for missing a training session to promote tourism in Saudi Arabia. Messi issued an apology, explaining that he had already planned the trip and was unaware of the cancelled day off. PSG has already secured the Ligue 1 title this season. As Messi prepares for his final match, the football world eagerly awaits his next career move.
